Againstbabangida.com: This modest campaign which started in January, 2005, has already succeeded. The ambition of former Nigerian dictator, General Ibrahim Babangida, to hijack the political process ahead of a return to power was nipped in the bud through Internet, newspaper advertisements, email newsletters and other efforts. The week the CFN wrote Babangida, President Olusegun Obasanjo, all Nigerian federal lawmakers, the Congressional Black Caucus and the foreign media, General Babangida withdrew from the race.

Obasanjo's Third Term Attempt: With limited resources, we joined the band of democrats to pile pressure through newspaper articles, Internet campaign on the Obasanjo administration and the ruling People's Democratic Party to drop the attempt to extend the tenure of the administration beyond the constitutionally-allowed term of eight years. Our stance showed that our fight was not just against Ibrahim Babangida but also against all forces that endanger democracy in Nigeria.
