The Boko Haram religious crisis calls to attention not only religious rioting, but also security of life. Religious riots, which have become part of life in northern Nigeria, had been supported by the political and monarchical elite to gain public acceptance. It should now be tackled with urgency. The dangerous Boko Haram, which claims affiliation with Al Qaida, threatens to spread its violence to other parts of Nigeria.
